Key Telematics’ Software as a Service (SaaS) delivers Sprint Telematics a premium-hosted tracking and asset management software to global customers
Sprint Telematics Ltd, (part of The Sprint Group), announced today that they have chosen Key Telematics as a software platform for all of Sprint’s customers. Sprint Telematics Managing Director, Leon Boshoff speaking from their London HQ, said:
“We have tested many telematics platforms and Key is undoubtedly best of breed. We will now migrate all our customers to this outstanding platform.”
Leon went on to say that their years of experience in some of the toughest environments meant they are able to provide a service most telematics companies cannot match.
Sprint Telematics and its associate company Edge Telematics provide telematics and video telematics services in the UK, Ireland and across Africa. Logistics companies, bus operators, LCV and HGV operators are some of the market sectors in which Sprint provide fleet and asset management expertise.
The agreement capitalises on Key Telematics’ global market presence and extensive experience in the fleet management market. The partnership further supports the growth in the UK of Sprint Telematics’ business and will play a major part in achieving their goal of doubling the number of units currently operational in the UK in the next fiscal year. Vehicle rental companies, bus operators, LCV and HGV operators are some of the market sectors that Sprint Telematics aims to target with their fleet and asset management technology.
The Key Telematics platform ensures that Sprint Telematics customers can access vehicle-operating data from multiple devices, such as a mobile phone, a work computer or personal laptop. Key Telematics’ SaaS platform delivers customisable dashboards, powerful alert and reporting function, integrated with fuel card data, providing full control over fleet operations. The API (Application Programming Interface) provides further flexibility on building custom features and integration with third-party solutions.
Key Telematics CEO, Clive Killops said:
“He was delighted that Sprint had chosen Key and sees this partnership as a ‘win-win’ for fleet and asset managers in the UK.”
Sprint joins a growing list of public and private companies across 130 countries, choosing Key as a technology partner. Mr Killops added that;
“Key is a technology company and our skilled development team means we are always at the cutting edge of what is available. This is evidenced by features such as integrating directly with motor vehicle manufacturers (OEM) or fuel card company integrations coupled with a powerful analytics engine.”
